How to register the software?
First, if you have not done so, you need to set your device's owner name. In your mobile device, go to start->settings->owner information. After you have filled in your device's owner information, start wmTorrent and proceed to Menu->Tools->'Register' dialog, in the dialog observe the owner name should be displayed. Input the serial and key values into the pertinent input fields, tap OK for online activation or use the menu->Offline Activation command for offline activation. Online Activation requires you to have active Internet connection in your device. Offline Activation requires license file. Contact our support if you need one after you have purchased the license. I have input the registration information but wmTorrent does not save it?
After Registration, please use the exit command [Menu->Exit] to make sure the registration information properly saved in the registry. The registration process saves two information in your device: a license file and serial-key pair in the registry. If these information get deleted you might need to register again. A license file might get corrupted on an unstable wi-fi connection.
wmTorrent on Windows Mobile Standard?
wmTorrent v.3 supports Windows Mobile 5.x/6.x Standard, Classic and Professional devices(includes both touch screen and non-touch screen devices).
I have purchased wmTorrent but have not received my activation key and serial.
Immediately after receiving confirmation from PayPal, we usually send out activation key and serial. In a rare case, there might be delay due to technical issue, but the delay should never be more than 24 hrs; if you do not receive your serial after 24 hours, then you need to check your email's spam filter. It might have been set too tight and has filtered out our domain.
Does wmTorrent support DHT, uPEX, Encryptions?
wmTorrent v.3 supports trackerless torrents(DHT), peer exchenges(uPEX) with Protocol encryption (RC4 and Plain Text)
I have tapped on the icon, why wmTorrent does not start?
wmTorrent probes network drivers during start-up initializion. Certain devices do not load or do not include network driver(s). In case if your devices fail to load network driver, to solve this problem you are advised to perform a soft reset first and then once restarted, you can go to Comm Manager and activate Wireless LAN of your device, this will activate the needed network driver(s). At the moment there is no solution to device that does not support Wireless Lan.
While using Wi-Fi, why does wmTorrent stop downloading when my device's screen is off?
wmTorrent stops its activities because the Wi-Fi support in your device is being switched off when your device is in sleep mode. You need to either set your device's Wi-Fi to be always on or set your device not to be in sleep mode for continous downloading using Wi-Fi network. Please consult your device's user manual for information on how to do that.
While trying to view Peers Detail after I have selected a torrent, wmTorrent takes too long to refresh, what should I do?
High bandwidth with slow device, or device that runs too many applications, will result in wmTorrent's slow response. You can lower the limit of max connections, Options->Limits->Connections, set it to a number reasonable enough for your device, 25-30 usually work for old devices. Also close applications that are not in use will surely help. wmTorrent is a very demanding application.
What is the suggested size of torrent for wmTorrent to download?
wmTorrent v.3 supports downloading torrent file > 2 GB. The speed, storage capacity and processing power of your device will put a limit on how far you can go.
How to set owner name on HTC HD2?
HTC HD2 hides Windows Mobile's standard owner name settings. Here is what you can do to set owner name which is required by wmTorrent to register: Tap Start -> People -> Me and fill in the name field with your name used in purchasing the software.
What is wmTorrent Product Upgrade Policy?
Being a registered user of wmTorrent, you are entitled to a free copy of any minor updates to this product. For example, if you have purchased wmTorrent version 3.0 then you will get all the further 3.x versions free. In addition, once a next major revision (For example, 4.x) of the software you have previously purchased is released, you can upgrade for 50% off the normal price
If the next major version is released within 180 days from your previous version purchase, you are entitled to a free upgrade. Please ask our support team for instructions on how to receive your complimentary upgrade.
The discount is available only for purchasing the version of wmTorrent immediately next to the version that you have already purchased, otherwise, no discount is available. For example, if you have purchased version 1.x and now you want to purchase version 3.x you have to pay the full price.
